Up for sale, a 1995 Fender '63 Vibroverb in excellent condition and in perfect working order. One of Fender's earliest and most sought after reissue amplifiers, this USA-made 2x10 combo is very faithful to the original Vibroverb design both in terms of appearance and the integrity of the circuit. This amp delivers the warmth, incredible EQ sweep, and glassy, detailed quality of Fender's classic Brown Panel circuits, and while the cleans are bold and defined, the amp also has smooth, rich overdrive beyond 5 on the Volume dial. Add tube-driven spring reverb and a bias-based tremolo circuit with an incredibly deep pulse and you have one of Fender's most revered circuits and sought after reissues.
The circuit retains the stock Schumacher-made transformers (the same transformer manufacturer used by Fender in the 1960s) which date to 1994, and the preamp is virtually untouched. The power supply has been recapped with high quality F&Ts, and the power tubes are a pair of Tung Sol small bottle 5881s (6L6GC) that sound great and have been properly biased.
The speakers are a pair of era-correct Eminence-made blue frame alnico magnet drivers. These speakers, while not original to the amp, are the same 10" drivers seen in early Tweed Bassman reissues, as well as the first Custom Vibrolux amps offered by Fender in the '90s. Offering clear trebles and smooth breakup, these speakers are sought after in their own right and pair perfectly with the tone of the Vibroverb. The tube chart is intact inside the cabinet, and both the chart and the Quality Assurance sticker have a "FA" code which translates to January of 1995.
The original smooth brown tolex is intact, and the amp features new wheat grillcloth. There is a faint blue gray wash on top of the tolex on the top and left side of the cabinet (presumably this was in a garage adjacent to a project where this color was being sprayed). Hardware includes the original flat Fender logo, tilt-back legs, chassis straps, handle and sphinx glides (feet).
