Up for sale, a 1995 Fender Custom Edition Yngwie Malmsteen signature Stratocaster model ST57-140YM in near-mint condition and in perfect working order. From the first year of Yngwie's official endorsement with Fender Japan, this top-tier 'Made in Japan" model features a rare metallic Pearl Yellow White gloss finish. A non-export model offered only to the domestic Japanese market, features of the ST57-140YM include a scalloped maple fretboard with a 10" radius and super jumbo fretwire, a brass nut, and a pair of stacked USA-made single coils.

The guitar features the original USA-made DiMarzio HS-3 (DP117) single coil in the bridge position, paired with an aftermarket Seymour Duncan STK-S10 YJM Fury Stack at the neck. Both the Dimarzio and Seymour Duncan offer hum-free performance, ideally suited for fluid, sweet-sounding neo-classical metal. The original ST-Vintage Fender Japan single coil in the middle position is also intact. Weighing 7lbs 3oz, this Yngwie Strat has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with low action, accurate intonation, and 9-42 strings.

The maple neck has a substantial C-shaped profile carve with full shoulders, measuring .875” deep at the 1st fret and .945” at the 12th. The 10" radius fretboard has flawless super jumbo fretwire, playing cleanly in every register up the 25 1/2" scale with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The original brass nut measures a full 1 11/16" in width, and the '50s-style headstock has the correct "spaghetti" Fender logo, Yngwie's signature, and original Kluson-style tuners. The "Custom Edition" Fender badge is also present on the back of the headstock, and the guitar retains its "Made in Japan" text and S-prefix serial number above the four-bolt neck plate.

All of the electronics work as they should, the hardware has bright chrome plating, and the plastics include a one-ply white pickguard and pickup covers and knobs which show varying degrees of yellowing. The guitar has a full-size tremolo block too for optimal sustain and clarity, and the vibrato responds effortlessly for deep dives and expressive warbles, jumping back to the original pitch with ease.

The Pearl Yellow White gloss finish exhibits just a tiny bit of finish checking at the edge of the neck plate, and just a few small dings and faint finish scratches on the body as a whole. The gloss finish on the neck profile is flawless.

A vintage Fender gigbag is included.
