Up for sale, a 1995 Fender Custom Edition “Order Made” Stratocaster ST57-97SC in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original tweed hardshell case. This rare Yngwie Malmsteen-spec’d Stratocaster features a scalloped maple fretboard, DiMarzio single coils in the neck/bridge positions, locking tuners, a brass nut, a fully upgraded wiring harness with USA-spec components, and a gloss custom color Candy Apple Red finish.
A non-catalog model, this “Order Made” instrument weighs 8lbs 2oz, designed for the Japanese domestic market and particularly rare outside its country of origin. This Custom Edition Strat features a unique pickup complement, with a DiMarzio DP117 (bridge) and DP217 (neck), and an aftermarket Fender Texas Special in the middle. DiMarzio describes the DP117 as the “weapon of choice for Strat-powered classical metal” while the DP217 offers a similar wind and vintage magnet stagger. The Texas Special in the middle position pairs well with the DiMarzios for hot solos and detailed chording.
