Up for sale, a 1994 Jackson Randy Rhoads RR1 in perfect working order, complete with a molded Jackson hardshell case. This exceedingly rare, USA-made iteration of the Rhoads V features a color-changing Holoflake gloss finish, augmented with a pair of EMG humbuckers.

Tonewoods include quartersawn maple neck through construction, alder body wings, and a 22-fret ebony fingerboard, and this RR1 weighs 8lbs 10oz. The EMG pickups comprise an 81 in the bridge position and an 60X at the neck. Utilizing powerful ceramic magnets and close aperture coils, the EMG 81 was designed for optimal note detail, enhanced high end cut, and fluid sustain, engineered so that lead work will slice through even the densest mix. The EMG 60X at the neck also features ceramic magnets, designed to ensure rich harmonic complexity, thick, boosted mids, bold lows and singing highs. This Jackson has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, slinky action, and spot-on intonation.

-Shape: Slender D, measuring .820” 1st fret, .880” 12th fret

-Scale Length: 25 1/2”
-Nut: 1 11/16”, locking
-Tuners: Jackson-branded
-Serialization: Stamped on fretboard (beyond 22nd fret)

Body Specs:

-Wood: Alder
-Pickups: EMG 81, EMG 60X

-Hardware: Schaller Floyd Rose-licensed tremolo, dome-topped knurled knobs (two replacements), anodized aluminum pickguard

The gloss Holoflake finish has a multi-colored metalflake shimmer, changing based on viewing angle, and cosmetic wear includes the largely expected chips at the body points (and to a lesser degree adjacent to the trem cavity), limited finish delamination adjacent to the neck heel and upper strap button, scuffing along the pick path, and a scant few minor dings on the body as a whole. The smooth gloss on the neck profile is flawless save for one line of checking and finish delamination along the scarf joint behind the 1st fret that is imperceptible to the palm.

A Jackson molded hardshell case is included.
