Up for sale, a 1994 Gretsch Silver Falcon G6136SL in exceptional condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. A gloss Black-finished iteration of Gretsch's Falcon platform with silver sparkle binding and a combination of chrome and nickel appointments, this Japanese-made Silver Falcon is a visually sleek and tonally powerful instrument, offering fully hollow maple body construction, trestle bracing, and Filter'Tron humbuckers.

The trestle braced body ensures a lively and resonant acoustic response, with articulate note attack and glassy snap, qualities attributable to the maple body construction and ebony fingerboard. The full 17" body width results in a particularly broad, full natural tonal quality, and the Filter'Trons have a sparkling treble character, with a sweet midrange punch and tight, round bass, delivering quintessential Gretsch tonalities. The guitar weighs 8lbs 3oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 11-49 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The maple neck has a slender C-shaped profile carve with generous shoulders and a fast feel, measuring .805" deep at the 1st fret and .895" at the 9th. The silver sparkle bound ebony fretboard features pearl “neo classic” thumbnail inlays and flawless slender frets. The guitar plays cleanly up the 25 1/2“ scale with a straight neck and responsive, ideally adjusted truss rod. The nut measures 1 11/16" in width, and the headstock features a silver sparkle truss rod cover and Gretsch logo with wing inlays. The Gretsch-branded tuning machines turn smoothly and hold accurate pitch.

All of the electronics function as intended, with the Filter'Trons wired to three-way pickup selector, Master Volume and Tone controls, and individual pickup Volumes. Hardware comprises the Space Control bridge with ebony base and the "Cadillac" tailpiece, and the chrome-plated knurled knobs have ruby pointers. The back-painted plexi pickguard has flawless graphics. The serialized model label is visible through the bass-side F-hole.

The top, back, and F-holes are framed by silver sparkle binding, and cosmetic wear on the gloss Black finish is limited to minor buckle rash on the back and a handful of faint scratches in the clear coat on the body as a whole. The smooth gloss finish on the neck profile is immaculate.

The original hardshell case is included.
