Up for sale, a 1994 Gibson Les Paul Standard in 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. This early modern Standard weighs 9lbs 9oz and hails from what is increasingly known as the "good wood era," delivering a lively, powerful acoustic voice that translates well through the humbuckers with the traditional tonewood complement of a carved, bookmatched two-piece maple top, mahogany body, and one-piece mahogany neck. The 490R and 498T humbuckers have a wide tonal palette, with the Alnico II magnets in the neck pickup offering more chime and warmth, while the Alnico V bridge pickup has a cut and snarl that cuts through with classic Gibson roar. Professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, this Les Paul Standard has low action, spot-on intonation, and fresh 10-46 strings.

The guitar does exhibit two short, diagonal splits in the mahogany neck extending diagonally from the nut (as pictured), shy of a full headstock break, professionally repaired and smooth to the palm while fretting.

The nitro lacquer Honeyburst finish is very warm on the two-piece carved maple top, with a Walnut gloss on the mahogany back and sides, accented by cream binding. There is prominent checking along the top binding, various dings and finish scratches on the body, and light buckle rash at the bass-side waist. On the neck profile there are some shallow marks on the carve, largely clustered behind frets 5-7, and some stand rash behind fret 10, all worn smooth through subsequent contact with the palm.

The original brown Gibson USA hardshell case is included.
