Up for sale, a 1994 Fender “Order Made” Stratocaster ‘72 vintage reissue model ST72 in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Produced during the golden age of Fender Japan production, this “Made in Japan” Strat was part of the Order Made program, which offered non-catalog models with unique feature sets. While Fender Japan has produced its fair share of Pink Paisley Strats over the decades, only a Pink Paisley Telecaster was featured in the '94 catalog. This model can also be differentiated by its large ‘70s-style headstock and rosewood fingerboard, a rare combination.

A basswood body rounds out the tonewood complement, and this Strat has a smooth, balanced acoustic profile. The ST-Current ceramic magnet pickups have more punch and power than the typical alnico design. The neck pickup is throaty and full-sounding, and the bridge has a cutting sparkle. This Strat weighs 7lbs 6oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The Pink Paisley finish is exceedingly clean, with only two small nicks on the treble-side lower bout edge, and sparingly little additional wear. The neck profile retains its smooth gloss, similarly well-kept with a couple tiny marks along the profile length that have no impact on playability.

A modern Fender gigbag is included.
