Out Of Stock
Up for sale, a 1994 Fender Jazz Bass Special in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. This “Made in Japan” PJ Bass is an extremely uncommon model, largely in-line with the spec to the early Boxer Series model PJ-555, featuring a PJ pickup pair and gloss Candy Apple Red finish.

The PJ pickup complement offers true “best of both worlds” functionality: the Jazz single coil has burp and midrange-forward presence, while the P-bass split-coil pickup offers a full, punchy quality with sweet growl. This Jazz Bass Special weighs 9lbs 1oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-105 roundwound strings, easy-playing action, and accurate intonation.

Neck Specs:

-Wood: Maple
-Shape: Medium C, full shoulders, measuring .845” 1st fret, .965” 12th fret
-Fretboard: Rosewood slab, 7 1/4” radius
-Frets: Slender, no wear
-Scale Length: 34”
-Nut: 1 11/16”
-Tuners: Clover button (black-plated)
-Serialization: “Made in Japan” (on peghead face), P-prefix

Body Specs:

-Pickups: PJ
-Harness: Untouched solder, full-size Japanese 250K pots, shielded control cavity
-Controls: Volume x2, Tone, Three-way pickup selector
-Hardware: Bridge with barrel saddles, dome-top knurled knobs

The gloss Candy Apple Red finish is extremely well-kept, and there are just a couple tiny dings on the body as a whole, while the gloss on the neck profile is flawless.

A faux leather gigbag is included.
