Up for sale, a 1995 Fender Jaguar '62 vintage reissue electric guitar in near mint, 100% original condition and perfect working order with an unaged and bright Olympic White gloss finish. The most pristine example of this Fender Japan model (officially JG66-75) we've ever offered for sale, this guitar was produced at the famed Fujigen factory in the "Made in Japan" era of production. For surfy snap and twang, it's hard to beat the Jaguar, a model adopted by a wide range of genres for its cutting Fender tone and easy playability. With a percussive clarity and snarl in the bridge position and warmer, darker tonalities at the neck, there's actually a surprisingly wide range of voicings available on the Jaguar, further enhanced by the Rhythm Circuit on the lower bout (for even darker tones) and a bass cut switch on the hexagonal switch plate (for more thinned out, treble-centric sizzle). This Jag weighs 8lbs 9oz, professionally setup with 10-46 strings here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, where we specialize in Fender Offset instruments. The one-piece maple neck has a slender C-shaped profile at the nut with modest shoulder and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .830” deep at the 1st fret and .920” at the 12th. The dark rosewood fretboard has a vintage-spec 7 1/4" radius, featuring the stock slender fretwire. The frets are flawless with their full factory height and well-rounded crowns, playing easily up the 24" scale length with a straight neck and optimally adjusted truss rod. The nut has a traditional 1 5/8" width. The headstock retains the original Gotoh, Kluson-style tuning machines which turn smoothly and hold pitch as they should. All of the electronics work as they should, with individual on/off switches for each pickup on the Lead Circuit, in addition to the bass cut (or "strangle switch") on/off toggle and Master Volume and Tone knobs. The Rhythm Circuit has its own pair of Volume and Tone wheels in addition to the on/off toggle switch that engages this circuit, which adds a darker tone cap exclusively for use on the neck pickup. The chrome hardware is positively gleaming, including the vibrato unit which works well for surfy warbles and dives, complete with its vibrato arm. The plastic parts are equally as clean, with bright white pickup covers and only light pick scuffing on the treble side of the red tortoise pickguard.Cosmetically, this guitar is the most stunningly well-kept Fujigen-era Jaguar we've ever offered for sale. The Olympic White gloss finish shows zero yellowing of the clear coat, exhibiting just a couple tiny shallow nicks and exceedingly faint finish scratches in the clear coat of the gloss. The gloss finish on the neck profile is flawless. The original Fender Japan gigbag is included.
