Up for sale, a circa 1993 Levinson Blade RH-4 Limited in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Blade instruments are the brainchild of Gary Levinson, designed in Switzerland and crafted with top-notch fit and finish work in Japan. This Japanese-market Limited model was built by Momose, Deviser’s high-end workshop, and carries the ‘Momose Custom Craft Guitar’ brand on the neck heel and in the neck pocket. Blade is best known for its Strat-style designs, and this particularly rare model features its Variable Spectrum Control switching system, a Falcon tremolo, and locking Sperzel tuners. Weighing 8lbs 3oz, tonewoods include an ash body and a one-piece birdseye maple neck, finished in a thin Natural lacquer.
The HSS pickup complement features two of Levinson’s V-3 noiseless single coils and a Levinson LH-55 humbucker at the bridge, offering a ton of tonal potential alongside the active EQ. The pickups are wired to the VSC-1 circuit with a three-way mini toggle EQ boost switch, providing access to a pure midrange boost (switch up) and a simultaneous bass and treble boost (switch down); there are also two small access points on the rear control cavity cover for the VSC-1 circuit’s two recessed trim pots. This Blade RH-4 Limited benefits from a professional setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The thin Natural lacquer finish has settled into the grain of the wood, with the wide arching grain of the ash felt through the finish. Wear is limited to faint buckle scuffing on the back and some tiny dings and finish scratches on the body as a whole. The satin finish on the neck profile is particularly fast-feeling and smooth, with light wear along the lightly rolled fretboard edges.
A faux leather gigbag is included.
