Up for sale, a 1993 Ibanez S540FM in near-mint, 100% original condition, finished in Transparent Turquoise and complete with a hardshell case and hangtag. This S Series Ibanez was crafted at the Fujigen factory in Japan, featuring a slender, contoured mahogany body capped with flame maple veneers and loaded with an HSH trio of DiMarzio-made IBZ/USA pickups.
Lightweight at 6lbs 11oz, a maple neck and bound rosewood fretboard round out the tonewoods. This guitar has a balanced, articulate acoustic response that provides an ideal platform for the versatile pickup complement. Produced by DiMarzio in the USA exclusively for Ibanez, the IBZ/USA HSH pickups are rich and powerful: the F2 humbucker in the bridge position is hot and aggressive, with tailored lows for optimal clarity, the F1 humbucker in the neck position is full and bell-like, with a smooth, singing quality, and the C3 single coil provides ample sparkle and shimmer, pairing well with the humbuckers at positions 2 and 4 on the five-way pickup selector switch.
