Up for sale, a 1993 Ibanez S540FM in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, finished in gloss Cherry Wine. This S Series Ibanez was crafted at the Fujigen factory in Japan, loaded with an HSH trio of DiMarzio-made IBZ/USA pickups.
The tonewood complement includes a mahogany body with bookmatched, heavily figured flame maple veneers on the top and back, a quartersawn rock maple neck and a bound rosewood fretboard. Produced by DiMarzio in the USA exclusively for Ibanez, the IBZ/USA HSH pickups are rich and powerful-sounding. The IBZ F1 and F2 humbuckers feature ceramic magnet construction for a cutting, rich sound that stays tight with heavy distortion, while the IBZ C3 single coil offers an excellent alternative for snappy cleans and a clear, balanced response. Featherweight at 6lbs 11oz, this S540FM has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, slinky action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Cherry Wine finish highlights the bookmatched tiger flame maple on the top and back, with figuring extending to the edges of the burst. Cosmetic wear is limited to faint buckle worming central to the back, a tiny finish chip at the bass-side cutaway, and a few faint scratches in the clear coat on the body as a whole. The smooth satin finish on the neck profile is flawless.
The original Ibanez-branded faux leather padded gigbag is included.
