Up for sale, a 1993 Ibanez RG670 in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. This Ibanez was produced at the Fujigen factory in Japan, featuring an HSH trio of DiMarzio-designed pickups, a Floyd Rose-licensed Lo-Pro Edge tremolo, Wizard neck profile, and rare gloss Root Beer finish accented by gold hardware.
Tonewoods include a lightweight ash body, maple neck, and 24-fret slab rosewood fretboard, and this RG670 weighs 7lbs 1oz. A triple pickup HSH affair with a V7/S1/V8 pickup complement, the humbucker sounds are pure high gain power, designed to keep things cutting, focused, and clear with excellent feedback rejection. On the five-way switch, settings 2-4 offer various shadings of single coil snap and sparkle, coil-tapping the humbuckers and combining them with the centrally located single coil. This RG670 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 9-42 strings, slinky action, and spot-on intonation.
Neck Specs:
-Wood: Maple
-Shape: Wizard profile, slender D with full shoulders, measuring .720” 1st fret, .830” 12th fret
-Fretboard: Rosewood slab, dot inlay, 24-fret
-Frets: Jumbo, virtually no wear
-Scale Length: 25 1/2"
-Nut: 1 11/16”, Top-Lok III locking
-Tuners: Gotoh SG38
-Serialization: F3-prefix
Body Specs:
-Wood: Lightweight ash
-Pickups: V7 humbucker (neck), S1 single coil (middle), V8 humbucker (bridge)
-Controls: Volume, Tone, Five-way pickup selector
-Hardware: Lo-Pro Edge Floyd Rose-licensed tremolo, dome-top knurled knobs
The gloss Root Beer finish highlights the broad, dynamic grain in the lightweight ash body, and cosmetic wear is limited to a couple minor nicks and one chip along the lower bout perimeter, plus a few faint scratches on the back that fall well short of “buckle rash." The satin finish on the neck profile is immaculate.
A padded gigbag is included.
