Up for sale, a 1992 Fender Jazz Bass ‘62 vintage reissue model JB62-80 in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. An early Fender Japan model, this "Made in Japan" Jazz Bass was produced at the Fujigen factory and is an uncommon, upper-tiered iteration with features including USA Fender pickups and vintage-spec hardware comprising spiral bridge saddles and long stem, reverse-geared clover button tuners. Made exclusively for the Japanese domestic market, this Jazz Bass rivals Fender's US production and is rarely seen outside its country of origin.

Weighing 8lbs 15oz, this Jazz Bass has a lively and resonant acoustic response, featuring an alder body, maple neck, and rosewood slab fretboard. The bridge pickup offers a smooth growl and distinctive upper midrange character, accentuating the top end articulation of a set of fresh roundwound 45-100 strings. The neck pickup, in contrast, has a thicker, broader tonality, delivering a present thump with the Tone knob backed off to taste. Professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, this Jazz Bass plays well with comfortable action and accurate intonation.

Cosmetic wear on the gloss Sunburst finish is limited to a handful of minor nicks and finish scratches on the lower bout. The neck profile retains its smooth ambered gloss, highlighting subtle figuring in the maple, with a few shallow marks on the bass-side shoulder behind frets 6-8 that are not distracting to the palm while fretting.

A padded gigbag is included.
