Up for sale, a 1993 ESP PR-II Sugizo in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Heavily inspired by the custom “Cloud” guitars crafted for Prince in the 1980s by master luthier Dave Rusan, the PR-II is renowned in its own right as an ultra rare signature model of Luna Sea’s lead guitarist Sugizo, a pioneer in Japan’s Visual kei movement.
Weighing 7lbs 2oz, tonewoods include maple neck through construction, alder body wings and a 24 fret maple fingerboard finished to match the Brilliant White body. The pickup complement includes an EMG SA single coil at the neck and an EMG 81 at the bridge. The EMG SA delivers bright, airy, Strat-style sounds with robust low end and noise free performance, while the 81 uses powerful ceramic magnets and close-aperture coils for a high output aggressive sound with fluid sustain and crystal-clear articulation under heavy distortion. This ESP PR-II Sugizo benefits from a professional setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
