Up for sale, a 1992 Levinson Blade Texas Blue in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Blade instruments are the brainchild of Gary Levinson, designed in Switzerland and crafted with top-notch fit and finish work in Japan. Best known for their Strat-style designs, this model features Blade’s active Variable Spectrum Control, a vintage-style vibrato with roller saddles (Vint-Edge FT-2), locking tuners, and a gloss Clear Blue finish.
Tonewoods include a sen ash body, maple neck, and slab rosewood fretboard, and this Texas Blue weighs 8lbs 5oz. There’s a wide array of tones via the trio of “Classic Cut” single coil pickups and Levinson’s proprietary switching. The pickups are smooth and articulate, with a healthy dose of low-midrange warmth and plenty of chime. The push/push (Tone knob) engages the Variable Spectrum Control coupled to a three-band set of adjustable trim pots for a wide sweep of sculptable sounds. This Texas Blue has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
