Up for sale, a 1992 Gibson ES-335 Dot in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. Stunningly clean, with the original protective plastic still intact on the pickguard, this ES-335 features a deeply figured flame maple body highlighted by an Antique Natural gloss nitro lacquer finish, hailing from what is increasingly vaunted as Gibson’s “good wood” era.

The ES-335 Dot represents Gibson's first solid attempt at recreating the magic of the late '50s dot neck ES-335, and this guitar features traditional tonewoods including a semi-hollow maple body, one-piece mahogany neck and bound rosewood fingerboard. Strummed acoustically, this ES-335 has a big, broad tone with plenty of treble cut and smooth growl in the bass register, and this rich tonal palette translates well through the pickups. Featuring Alnico II magnets, the ‘57 Classic PAF pickups have a smooth, airy treble response with a touch of growl and rich harmonic content. In the neck position, this ES-335 delivers a sweetness and bell-like top end, great for retaining clarity on solos and complex rhythm work, while the bridge pickup has more midrange aggression and treble bite. This ES-335 Dot weighs 8lbs 14oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 11-49 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

Remarkably well-kept for over three decades, this guitar features gleaming nickel-plated hardware, with the protective plastic still intact on the four-ply pickguard. The Antique Natural gloss highlights dense, three-dimensional curly flame extends with great consistency across the body. There's barely a scratch on it, with a couple small areas of faint wear in the clear coat adjacent to the back binding, appearing fractionally lighter in shade than the surrounding finish. The gloss on the neck profile is flawless.
