Up for sale, a 1992 Fender “Order Made” Stratocaster in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with a tweed hardshell case. This “Made in Japan” Strat was crafted at the Fujigen factory during the golden age of Fender Japan as part of the Order Made program, which offered numerous non-catalog finish and component options. An instrument outfitted with premium features from head to toe, this Stratocaster boasts Lace Sensor pickups, a TBX tone control and active Mid Boost, gold-plated hardware including a two-point Schaller-made tremolo, quilted maple front/back veneers on a basswood body, a 22 fret slab rosewood fretboard with medium jumbo fretwire and a 12” radius, and a contoured neck heel.
The Red Lace Sensor pickup in the bridge position is their highest output model, almost humbucker-like with a fat punch and bright, white-hot bite, and the Silver Lace Sensors in the middle and neck positions deliver fat '70s-style single coil response with increased output and midrange. As with all Lace products, these pickups feature a unique radiant Field Barrier system that surrounds both the coil and magnets, reducing 60-cycle hum. The patented Lace Micro Combs replace traditional bobbins, ensuring a wider tonal range and better string-to-string balance than traditional pickups, and the TBX Tone control and active Mid-Boost knob enable even more tonal range.This Order Made Stratocaster weighs 7lbs 14oz, benefitting from a professional setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
