Up for sale, a 1992 Fender "Order Made" Jazzmaster ‘62 vintage reissue model JM66 in perfect working order. Produced during the golden age of Fender Japan production, this “Made in Japan” Jazzmaster was part of the Order Made program, which offered non-catalog models with unique feature sets. Made at the Fujigen factory and notably rare, the custom color Ocean Turquoise Metallic finish (complete with matching peghead) has turned greener over time, tilting heavily towards Sherwood Green.
Tonewoods include an alder body, maple neck and rosewood fingerboard, and the guitar offers a broad range of vintage-flavored tonalities. At 8lbs 7oz, the instrument has an authoritative, clear sound when strummed acoustically, qualities that are translated faithfully through the original single coil pair. There's plenty of percussive snap and sparkle on tap, with a range of defined and powerful tones from the two alnico magnet pickups. Warmer, wooly sounds can be accessed via the Rhythm Circuit on the guitar's lower body horn too. Professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar where we specialize in Fender Offset instruments, this Jazzmaster features fresh 11-49 strings, low action and accurate intonation.

The Ocean Turquoise Metallic finish exhibits greening of the clear coat, shifting the color of the body and presenting as a very convincing Sherwood Green, while the headstock face retains more blue, reflecting the un-aged Ocean Turquoise. There is localized finish chipping along the lower bout body edge, largely on the treble side, some additional minor dings on top, and notably restrained wear on the back, with just a few additional minor marks and scuffs. The neck profile gloss is heavily ambered and very smooth.
A modern Fender-branded gigbag is included.
