Up for sale, a 1992 B.C. Rich Warlock model WGR-2X in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. From the sought after NJ Series (short for Nagoya, Japan), this bolt-on neck iteration of the Warlock platform features an alder body, maple neck, slab rosewood fretboard, reverse six-on-a-side headstock, Floyd Rose-licensed tremolo, and pair of high-output humbuckers.Engineered for high gain, the pickups are modeled after the Dimarzio Super Distortion with a ceramic magnet design engineered to provide a range of roaring tonalities with ample output and midrange push. The bridge is biting and aggressive, metering at 11.2k ohms, and the neck has a pronounced fullness and percussive cut, metering at 11.3k ohms. This Warlock weighs 8lbs 11oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 9-42 strings, slinky action, and spot-on intonation. The rock maple neck has a slender D-shaped profile carve with generous shoulders in every register, measuring .810” deep at the 1st fret and .880” at the 12th. The slab rosewood fretboard has a 12” radius, and the stock medium jumbo fretwire is practically perfect, with plenty of meat and well-rounded crowns. This guitar plays cleanly up the 24 3/4“ scale with a straight neck and a responsive, optimally-adjusted truss rod, and the locking nut measures 1 11/16” in width. On the reverse headstock, the Gotoh tuning machines function reliably. All of the electronics work as they should, and the pickups are governed by a three-way pickup selector switch, with independent Volume controls for each humbucker and a Master Tone control. The hardware is all notably clean, including the black dome-topped knurled knobs and the Floyd Rose-licensed tremolo, complete with its original arm.Cosmetic wear on the gloss White finish is limited to one tiny chip on the bass-side lower body point, a small area of finish discoloration adjacent to the trem cavity, and some minor scuffing on the top along the strum path. The smooth satin finish on the neck profile is immaculate.A padded gigbag is included.
