Up for sale, a 1991 Gibson Flying V '67 vintage reissue model in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case.

A discontinued model with a rare Alpine White gloss nitro lacquer finish, this Flying V boasts solid mahogany construction, loaded with a very early pair of Gibson's 496R and 500T humbuckers. The 496R produces incredible sustain and cutting power with its ceramic magnet, adding more highs with increased definition and no mud in high gain scenarios. The 500T is one of Gibson’s most powerful pickups, containing a three ceramic magnet structure, which enables a no-holds-barred rock and roll crunch that never loses its rich combination of enhanced lows and crystal clear highs. At 7lbs 10oz, this V is easy on the back and has been dialed in here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation.

The one-piece mahogany neck has a slender 60s-style C-shaped profile carve with just enough roundness in the shoulders, measuring .835" deep at the 1st fret and .890" at the 12th. On the dark slab rosewood fretboard, the stock medium jumbo frets are flawles, retaining their full factory height with well-rounded crowns, playing cleanly in every register. The guitar conforms to traditional Gibson spec with a 1 11/16" wide nut and 24 3/4" scale length. On the headstock, the original Gibson Deluxe double line tuning machines with greened tulip buttons turn smoothly and hold pitch as they should.

All of the electronics work as intended, with the dual humbuckers wired to individual Volume controls and a Master Tone knob. Both humbuckers feature Gibson USA-embossed baseplates, and the solder joints are untouched. The chrome hardware is notably clean, and plastics include the white three-ply pickguard and a near mint trio of reflector cap knobs.

The gloss Alpine White nitro lacquer finish exhibits uniform yellowing of the clear coat, with some scuffing across the pickguard and behind the bridge on top that doesn’t appear to be pick-related, and a few light finish scratches and minor marks on the back There is finish wear on the body tips and one small finish chip adjacent to the forward strap button. The gloss finish on the neck profile is flawless.

The original brown tolex Gibson USA hardshell case is included with pink plush interior, original blanket, functional latches, and the stock leather handle.
