Up for sale, a 1991 Fender Telecaster model TLG80-550 in 100% original condition and in perfect working order. This “Made in Japan” Telecaster was crafted at the Fujigen factory during the golden age of Fender Japan production. An uncommon model, this upscale Tele iteration features a sleek all-Black look accented by gold hardware.

Tonewoods include a basswood body, maple neck and a rosewood fingerboard, and this TLG80-550 is lightweight at 7lbs 2oz. The pair of Fender Japan’s single coil pickups deliver chewy twang and sparkling cut, with a distinct sound in each position on the three-way pickup selector. This TLG80-550 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

There are several large touched-up finish chips along the lower bout perimeter, particularly adjacent to the output jack. Other cosmetic wear on the gloss Black finish includes pick scratching on top, light buckle wear across the back, and some small dings spanning the rest of the body. There are a few shallow marks in the smooth gloss finish on the neck profile that are not distracting to the palm while fretting.

A padded faux leather gigbag is included.
