Up for sale, a 1991 Fender Pro Feel Stratocaster model STR-120SD in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with a molded hardshell case. A top tier model from the Pro Feel series, this “Made in Japan” Superstrat was crafted at the venerable Fujigen factory during the golden age of Fender Japan production, with premium player-friendly features including a contoured heel with micro-tilt adjustment, DiMarzio SSH pickup complement, genuine Floyd Rose tremolo, TBX Tone control, 22-fret slab rosewood fretboard with 12“ modern radius, satin neck profile finish, and lacewood veneers highlighted by a gloss Blueberry Sunburst finish.

The USA-made DiMarzio pickup complement includes a pair of DP117 HS-3 single coils and an H2 humbucker at the bridge. The HS-3s deliver hum-free performance with a broad low end that's warm and tight with a smooth, glassy treble response. These qualities combine perfectly with a heavily distorted amp, because the sound won’t get muddy or messy, and as Dimarzio puts it, the HS-3 is the, "weapon of choice for Strat-powered classical metal." The H2 humbucker at the bridge is focused and powerful, notably hot at 24k oms, designed for ripping gain and harmonic density. The center-detent TBX Tone control adds further flexibility. From 1-5, the TBX functions like a normal Tone knob, and from 5-10 it provides a treble/bass boost for added richness and sonic punch. This Stratocaster STR-120SD weighs only 7lbs 10oz, benefitting from a professional setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, slinky action, and accurate intonation.
