Up for sale, a 1991 Fender "Order Made" Precision Bass ‘62 vintage reissue model PB62-115WAL in excellent condition, featuring a satin nitro lacquer finish, gold hardware and an upgraded Bartolini pickup. Produced at the venerable Fujigen factory during the golden age of Fender Japan production, this “Made in Japan” bass was part of Fender Japan’s Order Made program, which offered non-catalog models with unique feature sets.
Weighing only 8lbs 6oz, tonewoods comprise an ash body with a maple neck and a thick slab rosewood fretboard, yielding a smooth, balanced acoustic response with great midrange detail and note attack. The Bartolini pickup has been a favorite of players for decades, delivering the biggest, fattest bottom end. Ensuring that any unwanted “woof” is eliminated, the split coil blade keeps the signal tight and clear, all while delivering a huge bass response. It's the ideal blend of low end and high fidelity. A passive design, this pickup is wired to an aftermarket mini toggle that switches between the original 1/4" jack on the pickguard and an added XLR jack on the side of the instrument. This Precision Bass benefits from a professional setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-100 roundwound strings, easy-playing action, and accurate intonation.

The satin nitro lacquer finish was shot very thin and has an open pore feel, and the instrument does have a subtle smokey odor. There is wear through the finish on the body edges, particularly on the horns and across the belly carve, one ding on top north of the bridge, pick wear across the guard and and some additional minor marks on the body. The finish on the neck is nigh-flawless, buffed to a gloss from contact with the palm.
The original Fender-branded gigbag is included.
