1991 Fender Order Made Stratocaster ST57-770LS Aztec Gold w/ Lace Sensor, Japan MIJ Fujigen

Up for sale, a 1991 Fender Stratocaster Order Made model ST57-770 LS in excellent, 100% original condition, finished in custom color Aztec Gold. This rare “Made in Japan” Strat was produced at the Fujigen factory during the golden age of Fender Japan production; the Order Made program was a sort of custom shop, offering non-catalog finish and component options. Taking design cues from Fender's nascent Eric Clapton signature models, features include a trio of USA-made Lace Sensor Gold pickups, active Mid Boost circuitry, a 22 fret maple fingerboard, and satin neck finish.

Tonewoods include an alder body and a one-piece maple neck, and this Strat weighs 7lbs 11oz. The Lace pickups feature a unique radiant Field Barrier system that surrounds both the coil and magnets, reducing 60-cycle hum. The patented Lace Micro Combs replace traditional bobbins, yielding a wider tonal range and better string to string balance than traditional guitar pickups. As the pickup that started it all for Lace, the Gold design was specifically engineered to deliver a '50s Strat bell-like snap and chime, with quintessential Strat tonalities at each position on the five-way pickup selector switch. This Strat has been professionally setup here at Mike and Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The custom color Aztec Gold gloss exhibits subtle greening of the clear coat, and signs of light playwear including minor dings (most prominent along the lower bout edge) and light buckle rash on the bass side of the back. The satin finish on the neck profile has been buffed to a semi-gloss through play, with a scant few shallow marks along the profile length that have no impact on playability.

The original Fender-branded gigbag is included.
