Up for sale, a 1991 Fender Order Made Precision Bass ‘62 vintage reissue in excellent, 100% original condition, finished in custom color Charcoal Burst. This “Made in Japan” Precision Bass was crafted at the Fujigen factory during the golden age of Fender Japan production as part of the “Order Made” program, essentially a Japanese custom shop which offered non-catalog component and finish options. This particular P Bass boasts a rare gloss Charcoal Burst finish, and this “toasted” finish with dark streaking in the transparent Butterscotch gloss highlights the grain in the American basswood body.
Lightweight at 8lbs 5oz, this Precision Bass has terrific natural resonance and a punchy midrange response, providing an ideal platform for the split-coil pickup. Plugged in, this bass offers bold growl and rich low end punch, particularly broad and smooth with the Tone knob rolled back to taste. This Order Made Precision Bass benefits from a professional setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-105 roundwound strings, easy-playing action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Charcoal Burst finish’s hallmark is the dark streaking that highlights the grain, best retained on the back and body edges. Cosmetic wear is limited to some minor dings, primarily concentrated on the back and lower bout perimeter. The smooth ambered gloss on the neck profile is flawless.
A modern Fender gigbag is included.
