Up for sale, a 1991 Fender "Custom Made" Stratocaster ‘62 vintage reissue in 100% original condition, finished in Aztec Gold lacquer and complete with the original tweed hardshell case. This “Made in Japan” Strat was crafted at the Fujigen factory during the golden age of Fender Japan, with a "Custom Made" logo on the back of the headstock, a variation on Fender's top-tier ExTrad/Custom Edition branding. This Stratocaster has numerous non-catalog options, with a full suite of gold-plated hardware in addition to the custom color lacquer finish.

The guitar has a bold, lively natural acoustic quality and crisp note attack, providing an ideal platform for the trio of ST-Vintage single coil pickups. These pickups feature Alnico magnet construction, with a bridge pickup that has a gutsy cut and sparkling bounce and a neck pickup with throaty punch, while the “in-between” positions on the switch yield a percussive hollow chime. This Custom Made Stratocaster weighs 7lbs 7oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The custom color Aztec Gold gloss lacquer finish exhibits wear down to the bare wood along the body perimeter, some wear across the strum path on top, minor buckle worming central to the back (largely constrained to the trem cavity cover) and a few small dings on the body as a whole. The neck profile retains its smooth ambered gloss.
