Out Of Stock
Up for sale, a 1991 Epiphone Emperor Regent in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. Continuing the tradition of one of the most celebrated Pre-War USA guitar builders, the Epiphone Emperor Regent follows in the footsteps of Epi Stathopoulo's pioneering archtop designs of the '30s. An exquisite archtop from a rare Japanese production run at the Terada factory, this Regent features a spruce top, full 17" wide lower bout and parallel tonebar bracing on top, maple back and sides, a hand-carved bone nut, and a singular floating neck position mini humbucker with controls mounted directly to the tortoise pickguard. This design offers a rich, nuanced tone, yielding plenty of midrange cut and projection. The broad, muscly acoustic quality translates well through the floating mini humbucker with a silky bass register and lively trebles. The instrument weighs only 6lbs 10oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with flatwound 12-52 strings and low action.
