Up for sale, a 1991 Charvel by Jackson model CST-060-SSH in exceptional condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. This Japanese-made Charvel is a built-to-shred “Superstrat,” featuring an ash body, maple neck with a slab rosewood fretboard, two-point vibrato, and an SSH pickup complement.
The tonewoods deliver a balanced response with great midrange character and a snappy, authoritative note attack, qualities captured by the versatile pickup array. The original pair of Jackson J100 single coils have classic Strat-esque snap, with throaty fullness at the neck and ample hollow quack at the “in-between” positions on the five-way pickup selector switch. The upgraded humbucker in the bridge position (unbranded) is akin to a modestly overwound PAF, metering at 8.5k ohms, delivering ample clarity and bite while maintaining a powerful, robust lower-midrange kick. This Charvel weighs 9lbs 5oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 9-42 strings, slinky action, and accurate intonation.
