Up for sale, a 1991 Burny RLG '59 Model in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Produced under the umbrella of the Fernandes company in Japan, Burny has long been lauded for making some of the finest “lawsuit” LP instruments, with great adherence to vintage Gibson spec and premium fit and finish work.
The guitar is lightweight for an LP at 9lbs 5oz, and tonewoods include a mahogany body, a solid carved maple top with a bookmatched flame maple veneer, and a mahogany neck with a long tenon joint capped with a bound rosewood fretboard. There’s plenty of natural sustain on tap, providing an ideal platform for the original pair of VH-1 humbuckers. Known for their nuance, clarity, and dynamic response, these humbuckers have a PAF-style response, delivering an ideal blend of warmth and articulation. This Burny RLG benefits from a professional setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
