Up for sale, a 1990's Schecter AZ "Arizona" model in near mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. An extremely rare guitar directly inspired by Fender's equally rare Swinger model, this Schecter is a USA-made instrument. Taking the Swinger platform (a non-catalog, recycling experiment for Fender in the late '60s, using leftover bodies to create a unique student model), this Schecter thoughtfully elevates every aspect of the Fender original.

A no-corners-cut design, this Schecter boasts a Blonde-finished ash body, satin-finished maple neck, and thick slab 22 fret rosewood fingerboard, delivering a detailed, natural acoustic response. The midrange authority and note attack of ash translate faithfully through the original pair of Monstertone ceramic magnet pickups. These rich, overwound single coils meter at 8.3k ohms and can also be coil tapped via a Push/Pull Tone pot. The tap occurs halfway through the coil windings for a snappier, more traditional Strat sound, dropping the output to 5k ohms. Each pickup position is distinct and vital, from meaty overwound aggression to sweet, bell-like chime. This Arizona has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action and accurate intonation.

The maple neck has a medium C-shaped profile carve with nicely rounded shoulders, and the thick slab 22 fret rosewood fretboard has perfect medium jumbo fretwire with plenty of meat and crown. The guitar plays easily up the 25 1/2" scale, and the nut measures a full 1 11/16" in width. The headstock features Kluson-style Schecter Deluxe tuning machines that turn very smoothly and hold pitch well.

The simple electronics function flawlessly, with a three-way pickup selector switch, Master Volume and Tone knobs, and a push/pull Tone pot to engage a global coil tap for the Monstertone single coils. The protective factory film is still intact on the pickguard, indicative of the sparingly little wear this guitar has seen since new, and the Blonde gloss finish is practically perfect with just a couple exceedingly small finish scratches and pinhead-sized nicks on the back. The satin finish on the neck profile is flawless.

A padded gigbag is included.
