Up for sale, a 1990s Mosrite Ventures Model Mark II in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. The very first and arguably most vintage accurate reissue of the Mark II, this guitar was manufactured by Kurokumo in Japan and is now vintage in its own right and extremely faithful to the visual appearance and sonic power of Johnny Ramone's famed axe. From the mismatched knobs to the Gibson-style switch ring, Rotomatic-inspired tuner buttons and properly placed stoptail, this guitar simply checks all the boxes. The pickup pair includes a bridge position single coil with strong output and sparkling authoritative cut, while the mini humbucker is notably warm and fat-sounding. This Mosrite is perfectly tailored for plugging into your favorite Marshall and down-picking barre chords with serious aggression. Weighing 9lbs 14oz, the guitar has a natural punch, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 11-48 roundwound strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The maple neck has a medium C profile carve with round shoulders and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .840" deep at the 1st fret and .875" at the 12th. The 22 fret rosewood fingerboard is a particularly thick slab, retaining the original slender frets which have their full height, showing moderate wear beneath the plain strings on frets 1-3, extending more faintly until fret 5. The scale length is 24 3/4", and the nut measures 1 9/16" in width. The headstock features the most correct Mosrite badging of any Johnny Ramone-centric model with the Mosrite text oriented vertically and Ventures Model Mark II logo. The Gotoh-made Rotomatic-style chrome tuning machines turn smoothly with tiny "Made in Japan" text on the gear housings.

The electronics function as intended, and the knobs are the correct combination of a knurled Volume knob and reflector cap Tone knob. The nickel-plated bridge shows uniform surface patina, with brighter plating on the chrome stoptail. The gloss finish is a bright white with sparingly little aging of the clear coat, and cosmetic wear is limited to some pick scuffing across the one-ply guard and a few tiny nicks and faint finish scratches on the body as a whole, mostly relegated to the back and body parameter.

The original black tolex hardshell case with aluminum trim and gold plush interior is included.
