Up for sale, a 1990's Mosrite Ventures Model Excellent 65 vintage reissue in new old stock condition with a Black gloss finish, complete with its hardshell case. A time-capsule piece, unplayed for the last 20-30 years, this rare instrument was produced by Kurokumo, the official Mosrite licensee in Japan in the '90s.

The Excellent Series Mosrites are among the most celebrated reissues for their feel, construction, and attention to detail. With a basswood body and prominent German Carve just like a genuine vintage example, this Mosrite features a pair of stock single coil pickups with plenty of power, cut, and sparkling treble. Weighing 7lbs 15oz, this Mosrite has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 11-49 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation.

The maple neck has Mosrite's signature slender and fast-feeling C-shaped profile carve with modest shoulder, measuring .810" deep at the 1st fret and .860" at the 12th. The bound rosewood fretboard features fret edge binding and slender vintage-style frets which are practically perfect with well-rounded crowns, playing easily up the straight neck. The guitar has a 24 3/4" scale length, and the fretboard is 1 9/16" wide at the zero fret, just forward of the aluminum nut. The headstock features Kluson-style single line tuners with microscopic “Mosrite” text central to the gear housings.

The body features original single coil pickups with embossed Mosrite covers, and the wiring harness boasts a three-way switch with a milled screw-on tip. The '65 look is rounded out with a white three-ply pickguard and chrome Mosrite "M" knobs. The “Excellent” vibrato and bridge is a reissue of the Moseley system and has a smooth feel and an incredibly sensitive response. The chrome plating on the hardware shines like new, and the white pickguard is equally as well-preserved. The Black gloss finish highlights the deep contours of the German Carve, and the guitar is like new with barely a scratch on it.

The original black tolex hardshell case is included and equally as mint as the guitar with gold silkscreen "Mosrite of California" text on the lid.
