1990s Mosrite Ventures Model '65 Vintage Reissue White w/ Moseley Vibrato, Japan Kurokumo

Up for sale, a 1990's Mosrite Ventures Model '65 vintage reissue electric guitar in 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Manufactured in Japan by Kurokumo, this is a particularly lovely instrument with incredible feel, construction, and attention to vintage-spec details. With a basswood body and prominent German Carve just like a genuine vintage example, this Mosrite features a pair of stock single coil pickups with plenty of detail, percussive cut, and sparkling treble. Weighing 7lbs 14oz, this Mosrite has been professionally setup here at Mike and Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, slinky action, and spot-on intonation.

The maple neck has a very slender C-shaped profile carve with just enough shoulder to feel substantial, offering a fast, easy-playing feel in every register and measuring .785" deep at the 1st fret and .860" at the 12th. The bound rosewood fretboard features slender vintage-style frets which have their full factory height and well-rounded crowns, showing just a touch of wear beneath the plain strings on frets 1-5, and virtually no wear further up the fretboard. The guitar plays easily up the 24 3/4" scale with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The fretboard measures 1 9/16" wide at the zero fret, just forward of the aluminum nut, and the headstock features Kluson-style tuners that turn smoothly and hold pitch well.

The body features original single coil pickups with embossed Mosrite covers, and the wiring harness boasts a three-way switch with a long baton tip. The '65 look is rounded out with chrome Mosrite "M" knobs and the “Moseley” vibrato which has a smooth feel and a relatively high tension spring. The chrome plating on the hardware has plenty of shine, and the gloss White finish is accented by a black pickguard which shows some requisite pick scuffing across the strum path. Cosmetic wear includes some finish scratches and minor dings on the back and lower bout body edge, light finish checking extending from the edges of the neck pocket, and a few incidental small marks on top as well. The gloss finish on the neck profile is nigh flawless.

A gigbag is included.
