Up for sale, a 1990s Mosrite Ventures Model '65 vintage reissue in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hangtags. Manufactured in Japan by Kurokumo, this expertly constructed instrument adheres to vintage spec, featuring a gloss three-tone Sunburst finish, Moseley vibrato tailpiece, skirted "M" knobs, and Kluson-style tuning machines.

Tonewoods include a basswood body with prominent German Carve, a maple neck, and bound slab rosewood fingerboard, yielding a smooth, balanced acoustic tone. These tonewoods provide an ideal platform for the single coil pickup pair which offers plenty of power, percussive cut, and sparkling treble. Weighing 8lbs 12oz, this Mosrite has been professionally setup here at Mike and Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, slinky action, and spot-on intonation.

The maple neck has a very slender C-shaped profile carve at the nut with just a hair more overall heft further up the fretboard, measuring .780" deep just beyond the volute and .860" at the 12th. The bound rosewood fretboard features slender vintage-style frets which have their full factory height and well-rounded crowns, showing only light wear beneath the plain strings on frets 1-6. The guitar plays cleanly up the 24 3/4" scale with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The fretboard measures 1 9/16" wide at the zero fret, just forward of the aluminum nut, and the headstock features Kluson-style tuners that turn smoothly and hold pitch well.

The electronics include the original pickup pair, wound more conservatively than USA Mosrites and metering at 5.75k ohms in each position. The '65 look is rounded out with chrome-plated skirted Mosrite "M" knobs and the “Moseley” vibrato which has a smooth, reliable response. The three-tone Sunburst gloss finish exhibits just a few small dings and light finish scratches on the body as a whole. The gloss finish on the neck profile is flawless.

A brand new Gator gigbag is included, along with the original hangtags.
