Up for sale, a 1990s Mosrite Ventures Model “Excellent ‘65” travel sized vintage reissue in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Manufactured in Japan by Kurokumo, this is an exceedingly rare variant of the “Excellent ‘65” platform boasting a slightly scaled-down 3/4 size body, full 24 1/2” scale length, unbound fretboard, and full-sized hardware including the vintage-spec “Excellent” vibrato exclusive to the Excellent series Mosrites.
Tonewoods include a basswood body with a German Carve, a maple neck, and slab rosewood fingerboard, yielding a smooth, balanced acoustic tone. These tonewoods provide an ideal platform for the single coil pickup pair which offers plenty of power, percussive cut, and sparkling treble. Weighing 7lbs 3oz, this Mosrite has been professionally setup here at Mike and Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
