Up for sale, a circa 1990s Greco Mirage “Cracked Mirror” model in near-mint condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. Ostensibly a one-off custom example crafted at the Fujigen factory in Japan, this Mirage is identical in construction to the export (and better-known) Iceman model, offered only to the Japanese domestic market. This particular iteration of the Mirage platform was built to recreate Paul Stanley’s iconic “Cracked Mirror” Iceman, which was originally designed for the KISS legend by Ibanez’s Jeff Hasselberger.
This guitar is loaded with a pair of PAF-style humbuckers which deliver a vintage-flavored tonal profile, offering bold, spongey lows, rich treble cut and growl, and a balanced midrange character. They are harmonic-rich and sensitive to picking dynamics, with plenty of definition and power from the bridge pickup and more fullness in the neck position. The pickups on this Greco are also wired out-of-phase in the middle position, yielding a distinctive slinky honk when paired. This Mirage weighs 8lbs 2oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The reflective Cracked Mirror Ball top is framed by cream binding and painstaking laid so as to spiderweb out from the pickups (just as Stanley’s original was designed to do). Cosmetic wear is limited to some minor finish scratches, largely central to the lower bout on the back, along with light pick wear on top. The smooth gloss on the neck profile is flawless.
The original black tolex hardshell case is included.
