Up for sale, a 1990s Charvel by Jackson CST-070-SSS in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. This rare Japanese-made Charvel Superstrat is built to shred, featuring a trio of Jackson J200 stacked single coil pickups, an ash body, maple neck, and slab rosewood fretboard.
The tonewood complement yields an articulate acoustic response with a woody, midrange-forward percussive chop faithfully captured by the trio of Jackson J200 stacked single coil pickups. These pickups deliver a best-of-both-worlds sound, combining the sparkle and snap of a single coil design with the girth and richness of a humbucker (as well as the hum-canceling qualities of that design). Additionally, Strat-style hollow “quack” is on tap at positions 2 and 4 on the five-way pickup selector, and the active Mid-boost control enables further thickening of the sound. This CST-070-SSS weighs 9lbs 4oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, slinky action, and spot-on intonation.
Neck Specs:
-Wood: Maple
-Shape: Slender D, measuring .765” 1st fret, .850” 12th fret
-Fretboard: Rosewood slab, 12” radius
-Frets: Jumbo, virtually no wear
-Scale Length: 25 1/2”
-Nut: 1 5/8”
-Tuners: Jackson-branded Gotoh, gold-plated
Body Specs:
-Wood: Ash
-Pickups: Jackson J200 stacked single coils
-Controls: Volume, Tone, Mid-boost, five-way pickup selector
-Hardware: Two-point tremolo with block saddles, dome-topped knurled knobs
-Plastics: Three-ply black pickguard
The gloss See-Through Blue exhibits some yellowing of the clear coat, shifting the color to a shade of aqua. Cosmetic wear is limited to a couple minor nicks along the lower bout perimeter and a handful of faint scratches in the clear coat on the body as a whole. The satin finish on the neck profile is immaculate.
A faux leather padded gigbag is included.
