Up for sale, a 1990s Burny Super Grade RLG-70 '59 Model in exceptional condition and in perfect working order, complete with a hardshell case. Produced under the umbrella of the Fernandes company in Japan, Burny has long been lauded for making some of the finest “lawsuit” LP instruments, with great adherence to vintage Gibson spec and premium fit and finish work. This particular RLG-70 has a bevy of upgrades including a pair of Seymour Duncan SH-1 ‘59 Model humbuckers, a modern wiring harness, and a set of Grover Rotomatic tuning machines.

Tonewoods include a mahogany body, a solid carved maple top with a bookmatched flame maple veneer, and a mahogany neck capped with a bound rosewood fretboard. The upgraded pair of Seymour Duncan ‘59 SH-1 humbuckers are wound in the vein of the original PAF, delivering the open, detailed sound of that iconic design with warm lows and sweet treble growl. Weighing 10lbs 1oz, this RLG-70 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss “Cherry Old Sunburst” finish is designed to capture a subtly aged look, presenting much like a Lemon Drop, highlighting the bookmatched flame figuring (and subtle birdseye) on the maple top.
