Up for sale, a 1990 Ibanez S540 in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, featuring an exceedingly rare non-catalog Green Paisley finish. A notably rare instrument, there are few other documented examples of the Green Paisley 540S, which appears to have been a limited run or custom-order, non-catalog option. A Japan-exclusive Pink Paisley finish also exists from the same year, implying a retailer or event-exclusive run.
Tonewoods include a mahogany body, maple neck, and slab 22-fret rosewood fretboard, and this guitar weighs 7lbs 10oz. Produced by DiMarzio in the USA exclusively for Ibanez, the IBZ/USA HSH pickups are rich and powerful: the F2 humbucker in the bridge position is hot and aggressive, with tailored lows for optimal clarity, the F1 humbucker in the neck position is full and bell-like, with a smooth, singing quality, and the C2 single coil provides ample sparkle and shimmer, pairing well with the humbuckers at positions 2 and 4 on the five-way pickup selector switch. This S540 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 9-42 strings, slinky action, and accurate intonation.

The neck profile retains its smooth satin finish, with a scant few shallow marks along the profile length that are not distracting to the palm while fretting.
A faux leather gigbag is included.
