Up for sale, a 1990 Ibanez RG770FM in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original gigbag and hangtags. Crafted at the Fujigen factory in Japan, this upper-tiered Ibanez was only produced for one year, featuring a basswood body with flame maple top and back veneers and an HSH trio of DiMarzio-made IBZ/USA pickups.
Wound by DiMarzio (in the USA) exclusively for Ibanez, the HSH trio of IBZ/USA pickups deliver a wide range of powerful tonalities; the IBZ/USA F2 humbuckers in the neck and bridge positions offer plenty of output, enhanced midrange punch and rich dynamics. The IBZ/USA C2 noiseless stacked single coil is also wound hot with additional midrange emphasis, pairing well with the humbuckers for spank and snarling cut. This RG770FM weighs 7lbs 6oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 9-42 strings, slinky action, and spot-on intonation.

The gloss Cherry Sunburst finish highlights the tight, curly flame figuring in the maple veneers, and cosmetic wear is limited to a couple small nicks along the lower bout perimeter and edges, and some light buckle rash central to the back that is largely contained on the trem cavity cover. The adhesive brown protective paper from the factory is still intact on the rear control cavity covers, indicative of the limited use this guitar has seen in over 30 years. The satin finish on the neck profile is flawless.
The original Ibanez-branded faux leather gigbag is included, along with the hangtags.
