Up for sale, a 1990 Greco EGB-850 LP Custom-style bass in excellent condition and in perfect working order. Featuring a gloss Alpine White finish framed by multi-ply binding and accented by gold hardware, the short scale Greco was crafted at the Fujigen factory in Japan.
Featuring the late '70s LP tonewood complement of a mahogany body, maple cap, three-piece maple neck, and slab rosewood fretboard, this bass weighs 10lbs 3oz. The humbucker pair visually evokes a Thunderbird, and the pickups are constructed similarly to those utilized in Greco's TB model basses. Clear and round-sounding, these humbuckers accentuate the sweet midrange grind and treble articulation of the roundwound strings while also having a particularly powerful low end. Each position on the three-way pickup selector toggle is distinct and rich, with a very broad, thumpy yet authoritative sound with the neck pickup engaged. This EGB-850 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with fresh 50-105 roundwound strings, comfortable action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Alpine White finish is framed on top by multi-ply binding, and cosmetic wear includes buckle rash at the bass-side waist on the back, one rectangular “tan line” from a previously removed sticker (also on the back), one small finish chip on the rim at the bass-side waist, and some scuffing along the back lower bout body edge. The neck profile retains its smooth gloss, with one nick on the bass-side shoulder behind fret 8.
A gigbag is included.
