Up for sale, a 1990 Greco AP-850 in near-mint conditions and in perfect working order, upgraded with a Seymour Duncan SH-5 Duncan Custom humbucker. Produced at the Fujigen factory, this Greco a Japanese-built iteration of the Ampeg Dan Armstrong platform, featuring a transparent acrylic (Lucite) body, and a three-piece maple/walnut neck with a rosewood fretboard.
The upgraded Seymour Duncan SH-5 Duncan Custom humbucker features a small ceramic magnet and custom-wound coils, yielding tight lows, clear highs that retain excellent articulation even with heavy distortion, and a slight upper-midrange bump for exceptional warmth and a smooth vocal character. Weighing 8lbs 11oz, this AP-850 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
