Up for sale, a 1990 Gibson Les Paul Standard in exceptional condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. This Les Paul was produced during what is increasingly known as the "Good Wood Era," featuring the classic tonewood complement of a mahogany body with a carved two-piece maple top, mahogany neck, and bound rosewood fretboard.

Via the original 490R and 498T humbucker pair, the guitar has plenty of power on tap, and these alnico magnet pickups cover a wide tonal range. The 490R is Gibson's Modern Classic humbucker, featuring Alnico II magnets and similar in its response to a PAF, yet with more midrange emphasis. The 498T Hot Alnico bridge position pickup has Alnico V magnets, with plenty of muscle and growl, well-suited for high gain scenarios. Weighing 9lbs 13oz, this Les Paul Standard has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Ebony nitro lacquer finish is an uncommon option, and cosmetic wear is limited to a spot of faint buckle wear at the treble-side waist and a few additional small marks, both on the back and on the lower bout on top near the binding. The neck profile retains its smooth gloss, and there is one very shallow/smooth finish chip central to the carve behind fret 8.

The original brown tolex Gibson USA hardshell case is included.
