Up for sale, a 1990 Gibson Les Paul Custom Limited Colours Edition in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with a hardshell case. 1 of 200 produced in a rare Transparent White gloss finish, the “Limited Colour” finishes were released each month from July-December of 1990.
Weighing 9lbs 7oz, traditional tonewoods include a two-piece carved maple top, mahogany body, mahogany neck, and bound ebony fingerboard. The 490R and 498T alnico magnet humbuckers cover considerable tonal ground: the 490R is Gibson's Modern Classic humbucker, featuring Alnico II magnets and a similar response to a PAF, yet with more midrange emphasis. The 498T bridge pickup has Alnico V construction, yielding plenty of muscle and growl, well-suited for high gain scenarios. This Les Paul Custom Limited Colours Edition has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Transparent White nitro lacquer finish exhibits uniform yellowing and limited checking, framed by multi-ply ambered binding and highlighting the grain of the maple top. There is a sliver of wear through the clear coat on the back binding near the rear strap button, and various dings and scuffs consistent with use. The smooth gloss on the neck profile also has some shallow marks that don’t distract the palm.
A unique Gibson-branded black tolex teardrop-shaped hardshell case is included.
