Up for sale, a 1990 Gibson Les Paul Custom in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and hangtags. Produced during an increasingly lauded era of Gibson production colloquially known as the “Good Wood” era, this particular Black Beauty was ordered by Gibson’s Japanese distributor Yamano; Gibson’s USA-made guitars distributed via Yamano are often considered to be among their absolute best, featuring the highest quality woods picked for Gibson’s discerning Japanese audience.

Weighing 9lbs 15oz, traditional tonewoods include a mahogany body, two-piece carved maple top, mahogany neck, and an ebony fingerboard. At the heart of this Les Paul are a pair of Bill Lawrence-designed Super Humbuckers, known colloquially as Gibson's "circuit board" pickups: these short-lived medium output pickups handle gain extremely well, delivering a detailed array of tones that can be bright and growly or thick and punchy with the flip of a switch. This Les Paul Custom has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
