Up for sale, a 1990 Gibson ES-295 in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original brown tolex Gibson USA hardshell case. One of sparingly few ES-295s made in the early '90s, this upscale model is indelibly linked to Elvis' guitarist Scotty Moore. Bigsby-equipped from the factory, the ES-295 is finished head-to-toe in Bullion Gold, matching Gibson's Goldtop Les Pauls of the '50s.
Produced in an increasingly celebrated era of Gibson production, this ES-295 features a fully hollow maple body paired with a one-piece mahogany neck and bound rosewood fingerboard. Befitting the all-maple body, the guitar has an articulate, snappy treble response, with a warm, broad tonal profile thanks to the fully hollow construction. The pair of P-100 single coils have a glassy treble snap and sweet, midrange-forward growl. Capturing a P-90's tonal profile yet with a second coil to eliminate hum, these pickups are responsive to picking dynamics and applicable to a broad range of genres, handling complex chord passages and rich overdriven grit with equal ease.
