Up for sale, a 1990 G&L Signature Series Skyhawk 10th Anniversary model in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and factory paperwork. Produced in limited quantities to celebrate the 10th year of G&L production, this Leo Fender Signature Skyhawk was made just one year prior to the legendary guitar innovator’s passing. Features include a trio of Leo Fender-designed Magnetic Field Design (MFD) pickups, a Dual Fulcrum vibrato, Sperzel locking tuners, and a gloss Natural finish.
Tonewoods include an ash body, maple neck, and maple fretboard, and this Skyhawk weighs 7lbs 11oz. The trio of MFD pickups have ample sparkle on tap, delivering a touch more midrange heft than most single coil designs. The bridge is spanky, with great snarl and twang, and toggling towards the neck yields a smoother, bell-like quality. Additionally, the independent Bass and Treble EQ knobs enable a broad degree of tonal sculpting precision. This Skyhawk has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation.

The gloss Natural finish highlights the dynamic grain in the ash body, with Leo Fender’s signature at the bass-side horn. Cosmetic wear includes light buckle rash central to the back and just a handful of minor marks on the body as a whole, primarily concentrated at the lower bout. The smooth gloss on the neck profile is nigh flawless.
The original black tolex hardshell case is included, along with the factory documentation (this guitar was produced for export/sale in Japan).
