Up for sale, a 1990 Fender Telecaster Plus V1 in 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original molded hardshell case. Produced from 1990-95, the Telecaster Plus V1 is an uncommon, modernized (at the time) take on the Telecaster platform, featuring a trio of Lace Sensor pickups, TBX tone control, 9 1/2“ fretboard radius, a satin-finished neck profile, and a gloss Blue Frost finish. Perhaps best known for its extensive use by Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood, the Telecaster Plus is a tonally malleable model ideal for both crystalline cleans and thick drive.
Tonewoods include an ash body and a one-piece maple neck, and this Telecaster Plus V1 has great natural midrange punch and detail. The Lace Sensor pickups feature a unique radiant Field Barrier system that surrounds both the coil and magnets, reducing 60-cycle hum. The patented Lace Micro Combs replace traditional bobbins, yielding a wider tonal range and better string to string balance than traditional guitar pickups.
The pickups comprise a Lace Sensor Blue at the neck and a pair of Lace Sensor Reds at the bridge, effectively achieving a humbucker-style fullness and warmth, and the high output Reds are perfect for fat punch, taking gain notably well while retaining articulation. The Blue has a slightly boosted vintage-style tone, offering single coil bell-like sweetness with more heft. The three-way mini-toggle enables the pair of Reds to be engaged in tandem or separately, and TBX knob control provides additional EQ sculpting beyond what's possible with a traditional Tone control. This Telecaster Plus V1 is featherweight at 7lbs 1oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Blue Frost finish has two finish chips adjacent to the jack cup, with some additional finish touch-up in this area. There is also a chip on the perimeter at the bass-side upper bout, and further cosmetic wear includes buckle rash on the back central to the upper bout, mild pick scuffing along the strum path, and some small dings and finish scratches on the body as a whole. The satin finish on the neck profile has some shallow marks that are not distracting to the palm while fretting.
The original molded hardshell case is included.
