Up for sale, a 1990 Fender Telecaster Deluxe '75 vintage reissue model TD75-65 in 100% original condition and in perfect working order. A golden age Fender Japan example under the "Made in Japan" banner and produced at the Fujigen factory, this Tele is a rarity outside of Japan as it was only produced to be sold within its country of origin. The guitar boasts a Wide Range humbucker design, more tonally faithful to the original than many other Fender reissues, and these pickups are fat and full-sounding while still having a distinctive top end character. The ash body provides a certain midrange punch, weighing 8lbs 9oz. We've had this Tele professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The maple neck has a slender C profile carve with full shoulders and light palm wear through the gloss on the fretboard edges, measuring .815" deep at the 1st fret and .900" at the 12th. The maple fretboard has a vintage-spec 7 1/4" radius, and the medium jumbo frets have been leveled and crowned in the guitar’s lifetime yet still retain good meat, currently showing light wear beneath the plain strings on frets 1-10. The guitar plays cleanly up the 25 1/2" scale with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The bone nut measures just a hair under 1 11/16" in width, and the headstock retains the original Gotoh tuning machines which turn smoothly and hold pitch well. The J-prefix serial number is present on the large Strat-style headstock face, and the "Made in Japan" text is just north of the three-bolt F neck plate.

All of the electronics work as intended, with dedicated Volume and Tone knobs for each Wide Range humbucker capped with witch hat knobs. The ash body has broady, dynamic grain patterns, and the clear coat of the gloss has ambered notably, with the "tan lines" of previously removed stickers on top. There are scattered finish chips and dings on the body perimeter, specifically on the lower bout body edge, while wear is surprisingly restrained on the back and there are just a few marks along the neck profile.

The original Fender-branded gigbag is included.
